California Lemon Law Counsel is an information site for California drivers. We explain vehicle-warranty and lemon-law topics in plain English and link to official sources so readers can check the underlying law and agency guidance.

No attorney–client relationship is created by reading this site or contacting it. The site's name is not a claim that lawyers write or review the guides.

How we write and review guides
We start with current California statutes, court opinions and state-agency guidance. Legal statements include nearby links to their supporting sources. We distinguish a statutory rule from a presumption, a general process from an opt-in process, and a possible remedy from a guaranteed outcome.
Each guide displays its publication and last-reviewed dates. Legal and procedural claims should be checked against the live official sources when a guide is updated. Our editorial review is not a legal review of your situation, and the guides are not advertised as attorney-reviewed.
We do not invent settlement figures, success rates, manufacturer experiences, quotes or statistics. If we cannot verify a material claim from a reliable source, we leave it out.

There are currently no affiliate links, advertisements or sponsored guides. Any future advertising or affiliate relationships will be described in our affiliate disclosure. Commercial relationships must not determine the legal conclusions in a guide.
